Production control

A certain influence on the object of activity, aimed at developing and modernizing, is called the control. Actions on the facilities are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the final results.

There are various control types, for example, after the origin of production, there emerged a necessity of production control. When the production scales grew, the tasks assigned to control grew in direct proportion. As a result, a whole control science was born.

In general terms, the control is a work aimed at coordinating the works of employees and higher authorities.

The efficiency of the entire process increases several times if the interaction of individual production parts is coordinated. Such harmonious and efficient work is achieved by means of the management techniques.

The tasks that control solves are aimed at improving the work of a processing procedure or industry. The control follows the facility, process, i.e., first there is the activity, and then the control.

Consider the example of car production, the process consists of a large number of separate activities and works that take place only when they are subordinated to the main task, i.e., obtainment of a finished car. Moreover, each individual element of the work must be associated with a technology. The control is currently present in almost all production industries and spheres of human activity and is being improved every day.

Basic theories of control, its structure, processes and systems

Any science is rested on a theory that characterizes the principles, methods and mechanisms by which the process appeals. The control is based on theoretical foundations; however, it is periodically formatted for the specific conditions of one or another process. What is directly affected by the control is called the control object.

The control theory characterizes the approval principles and methods of individual elements in an integral system.

The following elements can be used as the control objects:

  • groups of people;
  • various organizations;
  • processing procedure and mechanisms;
  • finance and material resources;
  • information;
  • communications.

Even oneself can be considered as an object of force application: a person is quite capable of learning to manage his/her time, behavior, emotions and business qualities more effectively.

To a large extent the control theory is associated with the concept of “management”, but at the same time it has more general tasks and is not always associated with business and commerce. What is the management, we have already described in more detail in one of our preceding articles. The system has a vertical and horizontal. It is easier to explain using the example of enterprise management: the vertical is represented by the director, deputy, heads of departments and foremen, the horizontal is represented by HR director, procurement director and sales director.

The interaction of the vertical and horizontal structures is a complex system that, with stable functioning, enhances and accelerates the production process, and does not slow it down. There are special control tools and methods regulated by duty regulations, schedule of positions and salaries and other documents.

The control process is a whole set of special activities focused on the enterprise to be developed and its goals to be achieved.

This process is characterized by constancy, repetition of individual cycles (information collection and processing, decision-making and their implementation), constant development.
